Ringo, our little black and white dog (his breed is yet to be determined, perhaps some Chihuahua, Manchester terrier, min pin . . . ) is officially ours! Tod and I have adopted Ringo. Yesterday we got all of Ringo's current medical records and we discovered Ringo's real name.

We were a little surprised, so I looked it up online and turn out that Krispy is straight out of the Urban Dictionary. Krispy: Krispy; adjective - describing one's fresh style and unique swagger. It also means fresh, super exclusive, raw, dope.. and so on. The phrase was coined by Kinfolk KiaShine and Hi-Powered.

Ringo/Krispy is also from California (San Bernadino, a sub-suburb of LA) so, take the Urban Dictionary + his "hood" = Krispy! "Krispy" perks up so much when we call him that, and his eyes sparkle with recognition a little bit like "You know my name!!!".
All of this really makes me wonder about the people who owned him in the first place . . . where they black? Where they hispanic? Where they crazy white people who were big on rap? Meh, who knows. I'm glad that our little doggie made it here safe and is now living a happy life in our home.
Tod and I have been thinking of re-naming Ringo and this whole Krispy thing has certainly tipped the scale in favour of a name change! So, what should we rename Ringo? Should he forever be known as Krispy the name given to him "in the hood", or should he have a similar name (Taralee suggested Frisky), or should he be like his big brother who is named after a Marvel comic book character??? (Banner is from The Hulk, Dr. Bruce Banner).

but it is hard to find the place to post comments without navigating through a bunch of stuff....post your garden plot - we can watch the progress! You still need to post Tod's grad too...
thanks, I'll add those in. I have been taking pictures of the garden so that I can start a blog post and show the progress of the garden.
p.s. we've decided to keep Ringo as a name. He responds to it well and it works for us.
Yes, Ringo is better than Krispy....reminds me of the donut place.
