Well Tod and I have decided that we would like to get a dog.
I'd like to find one that I can train to be a therapy dog (to add to the art therapy that I'll offer in the future). We haven't found one yet who we think would be a suitable match for our family, but we did decide to foster a little dog named Ringo. We thought that it would be a good idea to foster so we can see if we are ready for a dog and it helps the doggie too cause we can give him a home that is warmer and more comfortable than a kennel at a rescue agency. Ringo was showing signs of stress and since living in our home he has learned more manners (he is becoming more calm and submissive everyday!) and is becoming less stressed than he was before (he used to chew his tail a lot, it would bleed when he would chew it but now it's healing nicely).
I've taken some videos and pictures of the little guy. Enjoy!
Ringo loves to cuddle up in the blankets that we have put in his crate.
He's likely being bribed with treats to sit in front of the camera.
This is how Ringo swaddles himself for sleep. He pokes his nose under a layer of blanket
twists the blanket around his face,
and then after completing the twist & tuck he finally falls asleep.
This is a good representation of his size. Ringo is a small dog, though not as small as some dogs.

The "artsy" portrait.
I'm bribing him with more treats so he'll pose for the camera.
