| Baby Weigh in. |
| I like that her eyes aren't covered in the clear medicine goop, no need cause there are no STD's in this family. |
| Oooh, nice the heat lamp. |
| My little foot is covered in black ink! |
| Little wrinkly feet. |
| Yay! She's here! |
So the following morning was quite nice, getting some sleep, having a
shower when I woke up. Tod slept in the hospital chairs, which folded
out into a cot bed, which were not comfy. The two chairs were comfier
pushed together with their cushions as a bed, rather than the fold out
mattress.
| this is Tod's cot the first night, the 2nd night he pushed the 2 cots together. You can also see where I put up the painting of the dream I had of Miranda's birth. |
| Top of the morning to ya! |
| Looking bright and cheery. |
At the hospital I got to order from a menu, I dunno if that's how it is everywhere, but that's what they do here. I do wish that I could have had a smoothie or something fresh... but they had nothing of the like here so I got an omelet.
The woman who came to deliver breakfast to me commented on how beautiful Miranda was and then told me a story. Her daughter had a child premature at 24 weeks, and the doctors had a dim hope for it's future. They told the parents to prepare for the child to die within the next two days. Well that premature little baby was a fighter and surpassed the expectations of all the doctors and survived past two days and then the child continued to thrive so they let it go home with the parents and at the time of Miranda's birth that baby was 15 months old. The Grandmother who delivered my breakfast said it was a miracle--and indeed it was. She encouraged me to have faith to believe in God and to believe in miracles. I told her that I did believe in God, because I know he sent angels to my aide while Miranda arrived.
