More Doggies and therapy dog training.

Here are some videos of the doggies that we have taken in the past few weeks.

Banner is some sort of Newfoundland/Australian Cattle Dog/Lab/mix of things.  Ringo is a Chihuahua and I think he may have some rat terrier mixed in too.  We'd like to eventually get doggie DNA tests to find out exactly what breeds they are.

Tod and I started off fostering Ringo and recently have decided that we are going to officially adopt Ringo!  So we have 2 doggies, both black with white tummies, so we now have fraternal twins???  (bad joke, I know . . . )

Another interesting development in doggie land is that I (Adrianna) get the opportunity to assist in a Service Dog Training seminar that will be occurring weekly at UVU for veterans. The special thing about this training is that the Veterans will be training their own dog to become a service or therapy dog. Those vets who don't own their own dog yet (they are either looking for one or just want to gain experience with dogs) will be working with rescue dogs from the Canines with a Cause group to help these dogs become more adoptable. My role will be to help the veterans when they become frustrated with their dog, answer questions, and train my own dog, so really I'll get to shadow the dog trainer and learn about therapy dog training first hand. So I get to help Veterans access a tool (doggies!) to help them with PTSD and other war related mental illnesses, I get to help dogs find their fur-ever homes, and I get free service/therapy training classes for my own dog!  I say that's a fair trade.

Enjoy the videos!
